Yes, it's different. Angela commenced in healthcare practice in 2007, and established Eastside Clinic as a provider of Acupuncture services since 2013. With the increased demand for mental health support which came with our collective experience of COVID-19, Eastside Clinic's service offering evolved to ensure that mental health well-being is always a consideration for it's clients.
Whilst Angela's practice encompasses assisting clients with any physical condition acute or chronic which they may present, she is also passionate in assisting those with mental health concerns. As individuals, we are a wholistic package of our emotional and physical health combined. Eastside Clinic recognises the high importance of acknowledging this... that things such as our circumstances, life events, relationships or changes in our emotions are things which can have a significant impact upon our well-being.
Eastside Clinic attracts several clients for assistance with anxiety, depression, grief & loss, and stress management. Angela has first-hand understanding of the challenges which a diagnosis of anxiety or depression can present to the individual, and as such has been well positioned to understand the day to day impacts of such conditions. She helps her clients with support and to navigate, manage or overcome these feelings.
Angela has a special interest of practice supporting those with individual counselling provided to neurotypical (NT) partners of, as well as, those individuals who are on the autism spectrum (ASD1 diagnosed or suspected) as well as relationship counselling for these clients together as a neuro-diverse couple.
She has voluntary experience as a Lifeline Crisis Supporter as well as a Youth Mentor with YMCA supporting adolescents from 11 years old. She also works clinically with young adults through to late 20's, and is an experienced provider of Brief Intervention crisis support within the broader community, for all ages.
She has experience dealing with high profile clients both domestically and those visiting from internationally - thus understands the importance of sensitivity and confidentiality that may be unique for all individuals.

Sadness, overwhelm, stress, anxiety, depression or other uncomfortable feelings can be mild or debilitating. They can be also be apparent alongside other diagnosed conditions, for example such as ADHD, ASD, PTSD, trauma or quite commonly as symptomatic to living with chronic pain. Whatever you or your loved one's presentation, Angela always appreciates the privilege and opportunity to work with each person in their journey forward from wherever they are now today.
Unique to Eastside Clinic, there is an optional add-on service if a client wishes to add a calming 20 minute acupuncture treatment to the end of a counselling session. Minimally invasive, but deeply therapeutic. This option is best discussed at commencement if you may be interested to ensure sufficient allocation of time. (Please note this service component is an added fee item, as per listed.)
